Create your own banner at mybannermaker.com!



Go to http://www.mybannermaker.com/ this is a 'free' site and there is no need to 'sign up'.

Follow these steps to create your own banner:

  1. Size - choose a rectangular shape which fits best but don't make it too large
  2. Background - select a colour or upload an image (remember to use Creative Commons Licence images or one of your own)
  3. Text - add both the Scientific and Common names of your animal (you can alter colour and sizes of text)
  4. Border - you can choose a border if you wish
  5. Effects - you can choose an effect if you wish
  6. Save - DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS on this screen. Simply scroll down to the bottom and click on 'Save the Banner'

You will see a fresh screen and will now need to CLICK on 'Continue On Free''
When the screen refreshes COPY the CODE HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE

Next step is to EMBED this code onto YOUR PAGE of this Field Guide
  1. Go to YOUR PAGE
  2. Click on Edit
  3. Click on Widget tool
  4. Select 'Other' at the bottom of the list of options
  5. Paste your code into the box and SAVE this

You will see a grey box 'other widget' on the page
SAVE the page - this will refresh the page and your banner will now be shown
